Dinner Party

Set in 1961 middle America, an interracial couple hosts a dinner party with their closest friends in their picture-perfect home. Attempting to distract their guests from their ever-apparent tension, the couple begins to fight, resulting in one of them breaking out a mysterious tape recorder. Hoping to face their demons head on, they thrust their guests into their own truth, revealing the darkness that has taken hold of them.

 

Having premiered as part of the 2018 Sundance “New Frontier” program, DINNER PARTY is based on the story of Barney and Betty Hill who reported the first extraterrestrial abduction claim in history.
